I don’t think this has anything to do with transphobia or objectifying women. He is just expressing that he thought this particular woman was attractive, but the fact that she started reading a bible on the bus is a bigger turn off than if she turned out to have a penis (which, assuming that he is a straight man interested only in straight women, is not transphobia at all).

Here’s the thing: straight women can have penises. Lots do. Straight men who aren’t bigots can be attracted to women with penises. It IS transphobia.

That’s great if some people are attracted to women with penises and that’s fine, but that doesn’t mean everyone does. I’m a straight woman who is only attracted to men with penises. If I saw an attractive guy but found out that he has a vagina, I am going to be turned off. Am I being transphobic? Fuck no. I’m simply being turned off because that’s not my thing.
